Former Patient at Onondaga CenterI was in bad shape. I have multiple sclerosis, hypertension, and some issues with my brain. I have been on multiple drugs to deal with these problems, and I had taken a fall, which put me in the hospital. When I discharged, they recommended that I go to Onondaga Center for rehabilitation. What a great recommendation. The therapy team there is absolutely wonderful: it’s clear to me that they have a lot of experience, and after just a few days working with them, I began to feel stronger. It only took the Onondaga Center team one week to get me back home, living independently. I can’t thank them enough. Thank you Jenna. Thank you Matt. Thank you Megan. Thank you all!

Former Patient at Onondaga CenterMy health had deteriorated. COPD, diabetes, Covid-19—my body was breaking down, one condition after another. I was feeling so low, I wondered if I’d ever recover. My question was answered at Onondaga Center. They promised that if I worked hard, I would get better. And they were right. The therapists were wonderful— knowledgeable, caring and encouraging. After one month of therapy, I’m back home and stronger now—all thanks to the team at Onondaga Center.

Former Patient at Onondaga CenterI was weak and confused. I had a very difficult time getting around. It was a combination of my diabetes and the onset of dementia. I was in desperate need of help—and I got it at Onondaga Center. The whole team was wonderful. Not only were they professional, they were very compassionate. Day by day, the therapists helped me to improve my strength, balance, and my ability to get around. After just two weeks, I was feeling much better—physically and mentally. The rehab team at Onondaga Center is the reason I was able to go back home. I can’t think of a better compliment!

Former Patient at Onondaga CenterI am a very independent person. I want nothing more than to be home, taking care of myself and my pets. But when I took a fall and broke my hip, I needed hip replacement surgery. I was in a lot of pain and had a hard time getting around. Reluctantly, I had to go to a rehab facility. As hard as it was to give up my independence, Onondaga Center came through for me in every way. The therapy team is wonderful: they worked hard to help me get my strength back. I’ll admit, I was handful, complaining about my condition all the time, but they were always patient, thoughtful, and understanding. Thanks to the Onondaga Center team, after just three weeks I was discharged, stronger than ever. They took care of me. Now I’m back home, taking care of my pets!

Thomas Colvin
Former Patient at Onondaga CenterI was feeling very weak, then suffered several falls at home. At the hospital, I was diagnosed with ALS—Lou Gehrig’s disease. I worried that I’d never be able to go home. Going to Onondaga Center for my rehab and listening to the team encouraged me. The rehab staff were not only very nice, they were great at their job. I was getting stronger every day. In one month, I was headed back home. And the Onondaga Center team had my back, setting me up with all the necessary at-home medical equipment and even providing family training. I feel safe and strong!

Thomas Lemanski
Former Patient at Onondaga CenterMy diabetes had led to an infection in the bones of my legs, and I couldn’t put any weight on them. Consequently, I couldn’t walk and I was tired all the time. I was going downhill fast—until I was admitted to Onondaga Center. They immediately made me feel comfortable, and within 24 hours had created a health and rehab plan specifically designed for me. The therapists did a remarkable job teaching me how to get around without putting weight on my legs. The Onondaga Center team got me moving to the point where I could make the greatest move of all—going back home. Thank you!
